Capturing the Unity of Africans in Diaspora
Princeton African Students Association (PASA) is a cultural organization at Princeton University that welcomes and celebrates all people of African descent.
PASA wanted a visual refresh to better communicate its activities and objectives. Being African and the spirit of collaboration are essential elements of PASA, and this needed to be communicated in its branding.
... but first, PICASSO! lol
PASA’s core values revolve around community. I opted to design a simple logo that speaks to the two key elements.
Members with AFRICAN backgrounds and a sense of COMMUNITY! I explored many interesting concepts, but in the end, I combined two ideas to make the final icon.
